Greetings Warden’s and Brethren,
Well, our first “Virtual” Annual is over and considering, I think it went very well. My deepest thanks and appreciation for a job well done goes out to our Right Worshipful, District Deputy Grand Master Stephan H. Saraidarian and his Grand Master of Ceremonies Jason J. Rainone. Without their guidance and enormous amount of support and help, it could not have been done. I also want to thank our own Right Worshipful Secretary, Daniel Rzewuski. For those of you who have sat in the East know, our job would be much harder without all the help from our Secretary. Moving forward this year we have a few open chairs that we will have to deal with, Junior Steward and Sentinel. We also have a number of brethren that still need to get their proficiency done. We are in talks with these Brethren and Grand Lodge as to options. I am working on some presentations that can be done Virtual, since I think it may be a while before we can meet at Franklin Lodge. We will also be giving flowers to all our Special Ladies on Valentine’s Day which is on a Sunday this year. That being said, I hope all of you and your families are being safe and taking all necessary precautions against Covid - 19. Brett Marggraff Master Franklin Lodge #20

Brethren,
Well, as of this date it looks like 2021 is going to be just as exciting, scary, challenging, costly and unpredictable as 2020. The above feelings are only the tip of the iceberg, since we all face different situations depending on things like age, work status, health issues of not just ourselves but other family members, having to stay home because kids are not in school, losing your job or having hours/ tips drastically cut. I myself manage a liquor retail store and get personally close to about 250 people a day. If I get elected to the Masters Chair again, I hope to be able to bring some fun presentations to our monthly meeting. I have a tour of both a distillery as well as a brewery and winery being put together. This should be a lot of fun, because it will include “Free Samples” of the products. Could not do this in an Open Lodge, so need to take advantage of these situations and have them work for us. You will be getting an R.S.V.P. invitation to each of these meetings. Free sample will be sent to all who say they will attend. And yes, I am working on getting Free and Accepted Mason’s into the Thanksgiving Day parade. This will probably take another year or two, but hopefully the smallest state in the union can have a big impact on the future of Masonry. See you in 2021.
