Wardens and Brethren,
Greetings from the East. I am honored to be elected as the 159th Master of Franklin Lodge #20, and I look forward to a great year with an excellent slate of dedicated men who accepted offices and committed to appointments in the line. My focus for this year is to take the Masonic by-line, “Making Good Men Better” and flip it around – I want to explore how to “Make Better Men Good.” The programs this year will take the theme of improving ourselves in Mind, Body and Soul. We will also work candidates through the degrees (we will have one ready to take his obligation in March). Our first program will be a discussion of how the EA degree introduces us to light, using portions of the EA forum. I am excited to have this opportunity to take a fresh look at the basis of our craft as it was explained when we were first brought to light. It is important we are reminded of this as we ready ourselves to deliver that first dose of light in March. A business item we have to attend to will be voting for one member to the Permanent Fund. We should have done it at the Annual, but it was overlooked. I look forward to greeting you on February 9th. Come for some warm fellowship, great food and a little Masonic light. Fraternally Bro. Eric B. Ross Worshipful Master, Franklin Lodge #20 “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my Path.” Psalm 119:105
