Wardens and Brethren,
I am honored and humbled to be elected as Master at the 160th Annual Installation of Officers for Franklin Lodge #20. We have an exceptional group of dedicated Brothers that have accepted officer’s positions. I look forward to the year ahead and I am confident that it will be a successful year not just for Franklin Lodge but for the Craft as whole. My focus for the year will be on the brethren of Franklin Lodge. Over the years so many men have dedicated part of their lives to Franklin and the craft, and I would like to talk with them and thank them for their contribution that has led Franklin to become what it is today. If it wasn’t for the commitments made and the time and effort spent by not just all the Past Masters of Franklin, but ALL the brethren, I may not in this position to write this today. I have talked with many of the brothers I see in lodge, but I want to talk with the ones who I don’t see as well. So, over the coming months, I will be reaching out to many of you, my brothers. The program for our February meeting, we welcome members of the Rhode Island Shrine. Many of us know that to be a Shriner you have to be a Mason, but that is where our knowledge ends for a lot of us. Last year I had the opportunity to travel to a lodge in Virginia who had a Shrine presentation. I was blown away with all the programs they have to help the community. This excited me to learn more about what the Shrine does here in RI. I look forward to greeting each of you, so join me for some fellowship and light in Freemasonry. Fraternally and respectfully, Bro. Ralph Brunson Worshipful Master Franklin Lodge #20
